Cologne/Leverkusen - Angermann NRW GmbH has brokered a long-term lease for around 4,000 m² of office space in Werkstättenstrasse. The tenant is Deutsche Funkturm (DFMG), Germany's largest provider of radio infrastructure, which is moving into its new company headquarters in Leverkusen-Opladen. Around 300 employees will work at the new location. The owner and project developer is W42 GmbH. The new building is currently under construction following the symbolic laying of the foundation stone; completion is scheduled for 2027.
DFMG had already relocated its headquarters from Münster to Leverkusen in the summer of 2025 and is publicly positioning the location as a strategic hub for the further expansion of mobile communications in Germany. The decisive factors for the permanent headquarters were the convenient location and access to customers, partners and specialists on the Rhine.
Angermann NRW's brokerage includes a long-term lease. In a market environment that is currently characterized by restraint and the return of space in the large office segment, Deutsche Funkturm, an infrastructure company with a strong credit rating, is committing itself to North Rhine-Westphalia on a long-term basis.
"A long-term lease agreement for around 4,000 m² is not a routine deal in the current market environment. The fact that a company with the strategic importance of Deutsche Funkturm has signed a long-term lease underlines the quality of Leverkusen as an office location," says Alexander Wunderle, Managing Partner of Angermann NRW GmbH.
Angermann NRW accompanied the lease through an intensive initiation process in close coordination with W42 GmbH, thus confirming its capabilities in the large-scale office segment.
